The Great Christmas Light Show in North Myrtle Beach

North Myrtle Beach takes decking the halls to a whole new level!  Taking place November 25-December 30, 2024, at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex, the Great Christmas Light Show lights up the night with a nearly 2-mile drive-through light show. Featuring over 2 million lights and 500 displays, this holiday tradition is a must-see on your visit to North Myrtle Beach. The displays include 30 animated figures and holiday scenes that come to life with the help of some Christmas magic, as well as a rockin’ musical section synced to the sounds of the season!

NEW for 2024, this year’s light show will feature three new lands of lights! Drive through dazzling displays filled with scenes from classic Christmas films, a tribute to Tannenbaums, and an even bigger and better North Pole!

Santa's Village

The holly jolly fun doesn’t stop there. After the light show, visit Santa’s Village, home to hot chocolate, s’mores, photo ops, and, of course, the big man himself! Cozy up by the fire, dance along to Santa’s Rockin’ Christmas Tree, or taste the Village sweets as you immerse yourself in the holiday season. With free admission to Santa’s Village, the petting zoo, photo opportunities, and the Christmas shows, this seasonal gem welcomes anyone and everyone to holiday fun! Santa’s Village is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights only until December 19th, when it opens nightly.

The Santa Express Train Ride

Located in the Santa’s Village, hop aboard the Santa Express Train Ride, where you can experience an up-close look at the lights and then make your way through the Christ-maze! Who knows, you may even see a reindeer at the petting zoo! With tickets at $3 per person, this train is both entertaining and wallet-friendly. Cruise the festivities in style as you enjoy the family photo-ready Santa Express Train Ride! 

Dashing Through the Glow Fun Run

If you just can’t wait to see the lights — and are looking for a way to burn off some of those early Christmas cookies — put on your best elf shoes and go Dashing Through the Glow! A family-friendly 2-mile fun run, Dashing Through the Glow lets you be the first to see the lights in this non-competitive walk/run through the park. Prizes are given for best dressed, so be sure to wear your best holiday-themed outfit! This yuletide good time will take place on Friday, November 22nd, AND Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at 7 p.m.

Know Before You Go

The Great Christmas Light Show will start lighting up the night on November 25th and will shine bright through December 30th (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day).
